District 214 encompasses 6 high schools in the northwest suburbs of Chicago: Prospect, Rolling Meadows, John Hersey, Elk Grove, Wheeling, and Buffalo Grove. Within each of these schools, art and photography teachers empower their students to create meaningful works of art and explore and respond to the world around them within their pieces. Each teacher is also a working artist who explores personal and/or cultural meaning in their own artwork. This exhibit highlights some of that work.

We would like to acknowledge Sue Renner's work and dedication to D214 as she begins new adventures. Her artwork in this show  "parallels the route her life has taken over the last several years.  Slowing down and isolating through  the lockdown, brought the opportunity to observe and experience the process of changes to every routine I knew through the cycle of seasons."
